Well, I guess my mission is accomplished here. I have taken my online pollution elsewhere, so if you would like to continue filling your mind with my feculence, visit me at my new blog on blogspot.com.
With elections round the corner
When the voters start to care
About the mess we have created
We give you issues that aren't even there
We give you Homosexual marriage
Gonna wreck your family's life
Gay men want your husbands
Lesbians will steal your wife
Lies lit up the daytime
Till bombs lit up the night
Bin Laden sleeps in a cave somewhere
While in Iraq our soldiers die and fight
We give you Homosexual marriage
Gonna wreck your family's life
Gay men want your husbands
Lesbians will steal your wife
Billy Frist and Arlen Spector
Know the votes are just not there
Orrin Hatch said "Go tell all of your wives"
In his sacred Mormon underwear
Gas will be four bucks a gallon
Katrina's wrath is still unfixed
The deficit is at an all-time high
While Republicans play politics
They give us Homosexual marriage
Gonna wreck your family's life
Gay men want your husbands
Lesbians will steal your wife
With scandal all around us
Indictments everywhere you look
We ask ourselves what would Jesus do?
He'd said "Hey! Look out, what¹s that over there"
It must be Homosexual marriage
Gonna wreck your family's life
Gay men want your husbands
Lesbians will steal your wife
Just remember there's a price paid
For each inflammatory thing you say
Mathew Sheppard's safe in heaven dead
How many other souls will have to pay
You give them Homosexual marriage
It won't affect your family's life
Gay men don't want your husband
Lesbians won't steal your wife....

I was kind of dissapointed. I was expecting a whole lot of inconveniences today since illegal immigrants are supposed to be so imparative to the nation's operation. Nothing really stopped here in Austin, TX except traffic on I-35 for about 30 minutes. But I think that caused by an accident. Maybe illegal immigrants somehow prevent accidents on I-35?
Oh well. Let the proud and glorious display of Mexican flags begin.
Way to show your American pride, fellas.
Wow. Every flag BUT the U.S. Oh wait. There's one! I say give him citizenship and kick everyone else out.
Lots and lots of Mexican flags.
More Mexican flags. They're getting bigger. Oh and racism ISN'T THE ISSUE. So stop trying to make it one.
One of my favorites. Ignorant teenagers using any excuse to get out of school and PARTAY! Do they even know what immigration means? Maybe...but can they spell it?
And my favorite:
Yes. The only one that apparently knows how to reach out and connect to Middle America.
Oh and more big Mexican flags.
--
The end.
I'm sorry but when I see just one Mexican flag - the protest, protesters, and the thing they are protesting loose all respect by me. If you love this nation and want gain citizenship - if you want to earn the respect and approval of the American people - if you want the U.S. government to revise its laws for you - I have just one request/reccommendation:
Drop the Mexican flag thing.Celebrate your culture, but respect the U.S. nation, its laws and people. Grab the symbol of this nation, and you might have the chance to sway the people and their laws.
Embarrased by the crowd,
I felt he found my letters and read each one out loud,
I pray that he would finish
But he just kept right on.
And let me sing forevermore.
You are all I hope for;
All I worship and adore.
In other words, please be true.
In other words, I love you.
My Solution to the Illegal Immigration Crisis in the United States of America
Um...why don't we just enforce the laws we already have? This might be a ridiculously crazy idea, but it might just work. It boils down to 3 things:
- Border Protection: Why can't we just protect our borders with increased 1) funding, 2) use of technology to detect drug/weapon traffickers and illegal aliens, and [if we really need it] 3) some sort of fence to impair the travel between the remote and urban areas of the border.
- Labor Enforcement: Why can't we punish employers who knowingly hire illegal immigrants? Think about it. Why do millions of people risk their lives to break the laws of this nation? Answer: to work! If employers are forced to hire American citizens instead of illegal immigrants and punished if they don't, the illegal immigrants won't have a place to work and therefore will have very little reason to risk the illegal and dangerous journey. A non-partisan study (sorry I don't have the link) I read recently found that the large majority of illegal immigrants would actually "self deport" themselves if they could not find work. Believe what you want, but it makes sense to me. Many illegal immigrants left their entire families to make an extra buck over here, so if the source of income dissappears so too does the worker.
- Recognition of a Crime: I've seen countless news reports showing police and federal officials knowingly ignoring or just not concerning themselves with illegal immigrants. I understand that "terrorism" is more important, but the fact is illegal immigration is a crime according to the US government (hence the adjective "illegal"), and I don't recall anyone being excused of parking in a fire zone or underage drinking or trespassing on private property or stealing clothes or etc etc. Illegal immigrants should not be treated like murderers, but they should also not be treated like law abiding citizens. If an officer of the law knows a person is an illegal immigrant, they should be deported and given the number to the Immigration Office so that they can find out how enter the country legally and gain citizenship. (more on that below)
There are a lot of other issues behind illegal immigration and they cannot all be solved with the snap of a finger or the signing of a paper. But we can make a very big impact on the crisis in the US by just enforcing and funding our existing laws. I think some major studies should be conducted to find out if we actually need this extra labor in industries like agriculture and construction as they claim. And if it turns out we do, then it's the government's responsibility to allow for an increase in legal immigration from nations with willing workers (like Mexico and South American nations). I do think that we need to re-evaluate our immigration policy towards Central and South American nations. I have read that it is practically impossible to gain citizenship to the US from those nations and that isn't right. Anyone around the world should have similar, if not the same opportunity to "live the American dream".
I also think that it would be in the US's interest to focus and aid the economies of [North/Central/South] American nations. Not only would this decrease the demand for illegal immigration into the US, it also might calm some anti-US sentiment in the region and create some very valuable trading partners close to home. It isn't our responsibility to take care of other nation's citizens, but I think it is our responsibility to promote stable and responsible economies and governments in our neighborhood.
This is all a very long and gradual process but we can make an immediate impact on illegal immigration by just simply enforcing our existing laws.
So there you go. That's my two cents on the subject. Oh and I read some polls showing that the recent pro-illegal immigration rallies (or what they call "pro-immigration" rallies) are turning the [slight] majority of citizens against the protester's purpose. So maybe illegal immigrants and their supporters should rethink their tactics.
And my final statement on the topic:
THIS IS NOT ABOUT IMMIGRANTS. THIS IS ABOUT ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.
So stop throwing around "We were all immigrants once" to support your cause.
People who drive Hummers and other oversized SUVs and pick-ups have completely abdicated their right to complain about gas prices.
(Unless they have a reeeaaaly good reason)
ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION
?????????????????????????
They say:
> immigration reform is discrimination against Mexicans and other latinos
> this country was founded by immigrants and we should continue that tradition
> southern parts of the U.S.A. was once Mexican territory, and therefore they have the right to be there
I say:
You're an idiot. Illegal Immigration is not about race, history, or irrelevant historical boundaries. Take notes.
> Illegal immigration is about SECURITY- if anyone can come into the U.S. undocumented then terrorists, drug traffickers, weapon dealers, and an array of other criminals can too...just as easily and discretely. Some people try to turn illegal immigration into a social issue and sadly, to a minor extent it is. There are racists in this country and there is a lot of hate (I should know, I'm gay). And some people claim war on illegal immigration purely for racist reasons and with no regard or knowledge of the real issues. Unfortunately, they are on the right side, but with all the wrong reasons.
> Illegal immigration is also about ECONOMICS - illegal immigrants aren't bound by U.S. laws (more appropriately, don't pay attention to U.S. laws) and therefore can be paid next to nothing for work. Relevance Ex.: You own a candy company and need employees to package your lollypops. Two choices (1) You can place an ad and hire U.S. citizens and pay them the minimum wage set in that state or (2) You can pick up some guys standing on the corner of the street and give them a ten dollar bill for a full days work with no documentation, no identification, no paper trail. Hmm, I wonder what a financially conscious businessman would do. More realistically-the owner of the candy factory discovers this cheap source of labor and fires citizens already working there. Hm...unemployment.
> Continuing the point from above, many people say illegal immigrants do the jobs "Americans won't do". Um...no. The correct version is Americans won't do the jobs that pay an illegal immigrant's wage. And in a completely legal country, those jobs shouldn't exist.
> So then people say "well American wages are too high compared to the rest of the world". Yes and that is why we have outsourcing. But for the jobs without the ability to outsource (like lawn care, construction, and some factory work), there is a major discrepancy in wages between (and this is crucial now) economically developed nations and economically depressed nations. And we in the U.S. just happen to share a nice, long, open border with one of the latter. So with your logic we should start paying wages of an economically depressed nation? And reduce the nation's quality of living? Mexico has some real economic problems and I am all for helping them fix those problems - but not at the expense of our quality of life.
To those protesters today and all this past week: if you march around with Mexan flags and claiming Mexican (nation) allegiance - go back to Mexico. If you want to live and work here in a lawful and responsible way, with Mexican heritage but American allegiance, then welcome to your new home.
My mother's family is pure Italian. Big family, big dinners, big hugs - all Italian. They celebrate their heritage and culture, but our allegiance is to the U.S. - not Italy.
I acknowledge that I haven't offered any solutions to the illegal immigration problem in this post, and I won't because my main objective was to point out how ridiculous the protesters are who marched against illegal immigration reform. I may offer my opinions on what should be done about illegal immigration later if I'm bored and in the mood, but I will tell you now that waving Mexican flags and pronouncing "brown pride" isn't the solution to a very real problem.

why does this piss me off so much? GET IT RIGHT...
Date: Tue Nov 15 15:20:08 2005because it's fucking pathetic!!
lose - the opposite of win, to misplace something, ONE FUCKING O
loose - the opposite of tight, your mother/wife/sister, TWO FUCKING O's
how can so many people get these two confused? IDIOTS
your - a possessive, similar to mine, his, her as in "your loose slut of a sister loses her mind every time she gets railroaded by your whole inbred, shitbag excuse of a family", NO FUCKING APOSTROPHE
you're - a contraction of "you are", as in "you're a dipshit", A FUCKING APOSTROPHE
its - another possessive, similar to your, NO FUCKING APOSTROPHE
it's - a contraction of "it is", as in 'it's fucking simple', A FUCKING APOSTROPHE
Need a trick? Fine - when using it's or you're, expand the contraction. If "you're head is full of shit" becomes "you are head is full of shit" and doesn't make any sense (maybe it will to you because you're a fucking idiot), then you are using the wrong word. Queef.
to - a preposition, as in "turn to the right" or "it's time to go back to school", ONE FUCKING O
too - an adverb (know what that is?), synonymous with "also", "as well" as in "Really? I went to college too. I actually read a FUCKING BOOK." It can also be used to mean "to a regrettable degree" as in "It's too late for you, moron", TWO FUCKING O's
two - a number, it comes after one
there - an adverb, similar to here as in "your tiny bus is over there"
their - yet another possessive, similar to your as in "it's not their fault that you're a fucking retard. It's YOUR fault."
they're - a contraction of "they are" as in "they're not responsible for your complete ignorance of YOUR OWN FUCKING LANGUAGE. READ A BOOK!!"
IT'S NOT FUCKING HARD, DOUCHE BAGS.
By the way, grammar is spelled with TWO FUCKING A's. So next time you want to flame someone for bad "grammer", at least spell it right.
Fucks.
- this is in or around a ball of rage
- no -- it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
My thoughts exactly.

This is the ever-present push-pull of the culture. This is how we stumble toward the light, gasping and bleeding and with painful rope burns on our wrists. After all, there is no progress forward -- intellectual, spiritual, sexual or otherwise -- without a concomitant blood-curdling scream from the power brokers and the religiously terrified to hold it all back. Change brings fear. Sexuality brings confusion. For every person who has his rigid homophobic ideology shattered by "Brokeback"'s emotional hammer, there is a confused neocon who redoubles his efforts to replant it.
But it doesn't matter. No matter the heat and bile of the resistance, no matter how brutish or sanctimonious the stranglehold of our leadership, no matter how many complaints about nipples or wailings about intelligent design or accusations of a "gay agenda," no matter how many uptight neocon judges they appoint, progress still manages to find the cracks, to slip through the holes, to seek the sun. Consciousness expands anyway. The river flows on. The awakening continues. It is always the way.
And the Bushes and the Cheneys and the Rumsfelds, the Gonzalezes and the James Dobsons and the Sam Alitos of the world, they can only stand at the base of that mountain of new awareness and pass their laws and beat their chests and scream their resistance as the mystics and the masters just smile that ageless, knowing smile and walk away.
